BP Azerbaijan presents scholarships to Azerbaijani students

BP scholarship program is one of the major projects to support education development in Azerbaijan. The main purpose of the program is to inspire the success of students studying in the sphere of oil and gas industry and geological exploration.

Special scholarship within the BP program was presented to 58 students, with 30 first-year students who gained the highest points during the entrance exams, and 28 - second-year students, who showed the best results in tests on technical subjects, conducted by BP.

First-year students as scholarships were awarded BP computers. Second-year students gained the opportunity to participate in special BP-funded training program to improve English language skills. The scholarships were awarded by President of BP Azerbaijan, Rashid Javanshir.

In addition to scholarships, in 2010 BP will provide books on technical subjects, particularly oil and gas, amounting to 10,000 manat to the library of the State Oil Academy.
