Economic development minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and China's vice commerce minister Fu Ziying have signed today a $2.9 million grant agreement.

Prior to the signing ceremony, Mustafayev and Ziying had a conversation during which they discussed the current state of and prospects for economic cooperation between the two countries.
Mustafayev briefed Ziying on the ongoing economic reforms in his country. He said President Ilham Aliyev's trip to China in 2005 and reciprocal visits by the two countries' officials and businessmen had contributed to boosting bilateral cooperation.
He also noted the two countries had great opportunities to further develop the bilateral cooperation. Fu Ziying, in turn, praised Azerbaijan's economic progress. He expressed confidence that trade and economic cooperation between the two countries would continue to expand.
