Azerbaijan's national security ministry detains individuals smuggling drugs through Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia route

Azerbaijani citizens Suleymanov Javanshir, Novruzov Habil, Azimov Vusal, Malikov Aydin and Nureyev Ruslan were detained. About 56.500 kilograms of heroin and hashish were seized.

Criminal case was filed under article 206.3.2 (smuggling by a group of persons upon prior agreement), 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (illegal manufacture, production, acquisition, storage, transportation, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or precursors by a group of persons upon prior agreement or an organized group, repeatedly) of the Criminal Code.
