Over 60% of cars in Azerbaijan fail to meet Euro-2 standard

There are 950,000 cars registered by the Central Traffic Police Department of Azerbaijan. As many as 650,000 or 68.4% of them fail to meet Euro-2 standard, Central Traffic Police Department official said.

According to him, many of these cars were produced in 1960 to 1990. Azerbaijan plans to apply Euro-2 ecological standard against the cars imported to Azerbaijan from July 1, 2010.
