Yesterday, the 2nd Student Performing Arts Festival of Russian classical music was held in the assembly hall of Baku Musical Academy. The Festival was organized on the Day of Russia.

Reportedly, the organizer of the event was the Azerbaijani branch of the Development Fund "Institute of Eurasian Studies."
The hall was with state flags of Russia and Azerbaijan. Works of prominent composers of Russian classical music such as Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev and others were played out. Later, as a result of selection, the jury awarded 10 most distinguished performers with Diplomas and cash prizes.
Rector of Baku Music Academy, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, Professor Oktay Abasgulu expressed his gratitude to the organizers and participants of the festival and noted the importance of conducting such activities in order to strengthen and develop the Azeri-Russian cultural relations.
The speakers congratulated the Russian people on the Day of Russia, wishing peace, happiness and prosperity of the brotherly country.
