CNN airs video report about Azerbaijan Democratic Republic

The report tells about Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the first democratic state in the East that existed in 1918-20 and its unique heritage. The story presents a brief history of Azerbaijan’s Republic Day, unbroken spirit of independence of Azerbaijan despite the repression perpetrated against the ideological leaders of the Democratic Republic, and about how these ideas were realized in 1991.

According to presented of the CNN TV channel Guillermo Arduino, the current Republic of Azerbaijan is a historical heritage of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. "Despite the fact that the life of this republic was not more than two years, it was able to go down in history,” he says.

The author and presenter of the program is Azerbaijani journalist Sevinj Osmangizi. The report made by the Azerbaijan-based ANS TV is being aired in World View program.
