World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day marked in Uzbekistan

The Azerbaijani Cultural Center held an event to mark the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day in Uzbek capital of Tashkent. The event brought together workers of art and culture, members of Azerbaijani Diaspora and media outlets.

Chairman of the Center Mobil Mammadov said the Day initiated by national leader Heydar Aliyev was first celebrated in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 1991 and then in all regions of Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the International Cultural Center in Tashkent Nasraddin Mahammadiyev told of the World Azerbaijanis Congress held in Baku. The meeting participants familiarized themselves with mugham, folklore and national cuisine of Azerbaijan.
