Azeri diaspora opposes French Senate's decision

Azerbaijan`s diaspora in the United States has called on the French Senate members to complaint to the Constitutional Court over the passage of a bill criminalizing the denial of the so-called Armenian genocide.

The Azeri diaspora thanked the French Senators who voted against the bill, and urged them to join a petition to be sent to France`s Constitutional Court. The diaspora said the petition should be signed by 60 people, adding this could help prevent the signing of the bill by the French President. The Azeri diaspora said: “This can also help prevent a Turkish-French crisis, and be advantageous to France`s strategic, economic and cultural interests.”
