Azerbaijan's Consulate launches a TV Show in Russia

A weekly TV broadcast on Azerbaijan will be launched from August 7 in Russian city Yekaterinburg, Consulate General Sultan Gasimov said. A half-hourly show will be broadcasted in the state channel “OTV” of Sverdlov oblast in the Far East, Siberia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia via “Yamal” satellite. Information partners are Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency – AzerTAc and AzTV.

Main aim of the show is to familiarize the public with many-sided activity of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, policy, history, economy, culture and tourism of Azerbaijan. The TV broadcast will strengthen friendly relations between the two countries and help to better understand traditions and customs of Azerbaijan nation, said Mr. Gasimov.
