Georgian authorities permit to complete overhaul of mosque in Azerbaijani village

Incomplete construction of Fakhrali village mosque will be continued from October 21, resident of Fakhrali village, akhund Adil Nabiyev said.

Georgian patriarch officially allowed the reconstruction of the one-century old mosque, Nabiyev added.

“We applied to Georgian Patriarch Ilya II for restoration of Fakhrali mosque and received good news. The patriarchate gave positive answer to our request. There is no obstacle for restoration of the mosque. Tomorrow, we will continue unfinished construction together with the village residents”.
