Vahid Novruzov: "60 independent auditors and 60 auditing companies in Azerbaijan"

He said that the audit is always commissioned by privately-owned firms, but there are some 15 000 organizations and enterprises which undergo compulsory audit.

"Sometime we receive complaints about auditors. We probe into their activities and try to correct the shortcomings," he said.

Novruzov said audit of local authorities (municipalities) find irregularities and shortcomings connected with documentation and reporting.

He said that adoption of new Internal Audit Law will allow resolving problems in this field, APA reports.
