Agasi Mammadov stops his performance at Azerbaijan's championship

Agasi Mammadov, returning to the boxing ring after 18 months, stopped fighting in Azerbaijani championship held in Baku Sport Palace.

"I won the first fight after so many months. But my blow with left arm met rival's elbow. I didn't feel it then. Later, my wrist swelled up. The doctors said that I must stop fighting," he told APA.

He fought in 57 kg in the national championship. His main opponent was considered Shahin Imranov, the captain of the team. But Agasi said that there in no favorite in 57 kg.
