President Aliyev congratulates nation on Novruz holiday

Noting that this holiday reflects ancient traditions and customs, the head of state underlined that this holiday is characterized by awakening of nature.

"Azerbaijani people preserved the tradition of Novruz holiday even in the hardest times. The holiday could survive in hearts and memories. The holiday is officially celebrated in Azerbaijan since it gained its independence. The celebration of this holiday is the result of the state's independence," he said.

The president noted that the people are satisfied with the economic growth of our country and especially congratulated Azerbaijani soldiers who protect our lands.

"Let the soldiers, who become martyrs while protecting our lands, rest in peace," the president said.

Underlining that Azerbaijanis all over the world celebrate this holiday, President Aliyev said this holiday played an important role in the solidarity of world Azerbaijanis and strengthened ties of Azerbaijanis to their motherland. "I wish happiness to all of you. Happy Novruz holiday," the President concluded, President's press service told the APA.
