Immunization campaign to be held in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan is to hold immunization week within European Immunization Campaign April 16-20.

Soltan Mammadov, Vishnevskaya-Rostropovich Foundation coordinator for Azerbaijan told that the aim of World Health Organization-promoted campaign is to attach the attention of people and health employees to immunization problem and raise awareness.

Extra vaccination campaign is to be carried out in the regions with low rate of immunization against poliomyelitis, APA reports.

Moreover, children will also be vaccinated according to national vaccination calendar.
