Azerbaijani wrestlers succeed in European championship

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers succeeded in the first meetings of the European championship held in Sophia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Namig Sevdimov (55kg) defeated Armenian Gevorg Markaryan, wrestler of Ukrainian national team. Emin Azizov (66kg) defeated Hungarian Robert Shabo. Both sportsmen will join quaterfinal.

Ali Isayev (120kg) joined the competition in 1/16 final. He defeated Latvian Sergey Dyomin and will join 1/8 final, APA-Sport agency reports.
