Mortgage Fund lends 800 loans worth AZN 27.637mln

Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund has to date lent 800 mortgage loans worth AZN 27,637 million.

The fund spokeswoman Samira Nasibova told APA-Economics that the mortgage loans went 70% to young families.

The presidential decree on improvement of mortgage lending mechanism in the country and application of preferential loans accelerated the process.

During 2006 the authorized banks of the Azerbaijani Mortgage Fund (AMF) issued 243 mortgages against 350 applications received.
