Prosecutor Office to consider journalist's appeal

The appeal of the editor of Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper Uzeyir Jafarov, who was injured as a result of assault on April 20 to prosecutor General Zakir Garalov on transferring the criminal case from Yasamal police department to prosecutor's bodies, can be granted.

Editor told the APA that the investigative bodies said they will consider the appeal. "I think that there will be no problem," he added.

The editor appealed to the prosecutor's office grounding that one of the assaulters was the officer of Yasamal police department Nebi Rajabov, and he has got facts about it.

Uzeyir Jafarov considers that Yasamal police department can not carry out unbiased investigation.

Prosecutor's Office press service told the APA Jafarov's appeal will be considered.

Criminal case was launched on assault on Uzeyir Jafarov on Article 132 (beating) of the Criminal Code in Yasamal police department.
