The public association of Assistance to Free Economy has filed a claim against the Ministry of Transport and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, Day.Az reports with reference to the Azadlyg radio.
Thus, the cause of the claim was that both structures did not respond to the information requests sent to them.
The statement, released by the association says that a request to provide information about the expenses of the projects, ordered by the Ministry for 2007-2008, has been sent to the Transport Ministry.
The association reports that three information requests to inform the structure about incomes, outcomes and debts of SOCAR for 2005-2007 were sent to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. The said company also did not respond to any of the requests.
Spokesman for Transport Ministry Namik Hasanov told Azadlyg radio that as the budget is being discussed in the parliament, it is not known how much will be spent and on what.
"On the other hand, the largest projects of the Ministry are roads and bridges and the amounts spent to them were fixed on special boards during their opening. There is nothing secret about it", said Hasanov.
He noted that some requests are connected with information not about the expenses of the Ministry but about the taxes, paid by it.
"Perhaps, these requests were not responded. If the court hearing is held, answers to the arguments will be found. First of all, we will reveal the cause of failure to consider the request. If we have violated the law, we will respond in the due order. Otherwise, the side, filing a claim against us, will be brought to responsibility", Hasanov noted.
It was impossible to clarify the issue in the State Oil Company.
Thus, a preliminary court hearing on the claim of the Public Association of Assistance to Free Economy will be held in the Yasamal district court on April 30.
