Organic honey production project to be implemented in BTC territory

The implementation of the project will be supported by BP Company, International Monetary Fund and Tem Ari Company.

The first agreement on approving of the production of organic honey, first project in the framework of "Regional development goals" program was concluded among the organizers in Ankara on January 20, 2007.

According to the project, 150 farmers engaged in beekeeping during near 1,5 year will be involved into training on the production of organic honey.

$760,000 is needed to organize organic honey production in the areas where Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline passes. International Monetary Fund will allocate $90,000, BP $180,000 and Tem Ari $490,000.
