Co-chairs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on fulfillment of CE obligation by Azerbaijan, Andreas Gross and Andreas Herkel, will pay a visit Azerbaijan in June 2005, the CE office in Baku told Trend.
During the visit they will hold talks at the President's administration and parliament.
They will also meet with leaders of the political parties and heads of the non-governmental organizations. The discussion will focus on preparations for the forthcoming parliamentary elections to be held in Azerbaijan in November.
During the visit to be paid on the eve of the PACE session Gross and Herkel will mull the situation in Azerbaijan.
The PACE rapporteurs last visited Azerbaijan on 17-20 April. After their visit a plenary meeting of the PACE Monitoring Committee on 25 April issued a statement which contains concerns in connection with the pre-election political situation in Azerbaijan.
