The Prime-Minister of Georgia, Zurab Nogaideli will visit Azerbaijan in the first decade of June, the press-secretary of the Georgian Embassy to Azerbaija, Gila Dumbadze told Trend.
The aim of the Georgian Prime-Minister's visit is to discuss the prospects of bilateral, trade-economic cooperation, particularly, the Baku-Tbilisi- Ceyhan project, prospects for cooperation in energy and transport spheres with the leadership of Azerbaijan.
During the two-day visit the head of the georgian government will hold meetings with the President Aliyev, Prime-Minister Rasizade, vice Prime- Minister Abbasov.
The next meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation will, probably, be held on the eve of his visit. The sides are currently engaged in elaboration of the agenda of the meeting. It will comprise the issues of cooperation development in energy, transport, telecommunication, agriculture and other spheres of cooperation. The basic attention will be paid to the goods turnover level increase. The sides will also discuss the issue of simplification of the customs system procedures, enhancing of efficiency of the control check-points at the Azerbaijani-Georgian border.
The visit will take place in the second half of the first decade of June, as on June 3-4 the next sitting of the Council heads of the CIS-countries will be held.
