Igbal Babayev: “All the voter’s lists will be placed in the website of the CEC”

Simply, the commission members are busy in making these lists exact with the participation of citizens.

Thus, a lot of voters have moved to other places, some have expired since the last election and a number of teenagers have reached the age level letting them to vote”- Head of “Elections” Information Center of the Central Election Commission Igbal Babayev told about it.

According to him, there are not any serious problems concerning making exact voter’s lists. They have not received any complaints regarding this .Stating that this process will last for a month, I.Babayev told it is not right to demand the exact list of voter’s lists. Thus, in accordance with the Election Code, voter’s lists should be made exact when 35 days are left for the elections. Saying of this process to last till 1 October, I.Babayev told it will be right to speak about any problems only after that.

I.Babayev considers that, there will be no problem concerning inclusion of new voters into the previous voter’s lists. Thus, a person presented a relevant document from his/her address should be included into the voter’s list in the precinct election commission. As for the inclusion of the names of expired persons, or persons who moved to other address into the voter’s lists, I.Babayev does not accuse the commissions of this.

“Under 46.6 article of the Election Code, the commissions are compiling voter’s lists on the basis of the lists received from the executive bodies of local executive powers, municipalities and administration of military units. The executive bodies of local executive powers are housing areas offices and they usually give old information. The commission members cannot investigate all of the information. Therefore, there is no need to accuse the commissions in this case”.

As concerns when the voter’s lists will be placed in the website of the CEC, I.Babayev told that they will do this after they receive voter’s lists from all precinct election commissions. Stating measure is implemented in this direction, I.Babayev they will succeed.

“We would have placed greatest part of the lists if we wanted to place the lists part by part. It will then be pointless. We want the voter’s list of all the 125 constituencies to be placed in the website”.
