Georgian delegation to attend Yanukovich's inauguration

Georgian Foreign Ministry received an official invitation to attend the inauguration of newly elected Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a traditional briefing today.

According to Kalandadze, the delegation will leave for inauguration and its members will be selected by the Foreign Ministry.

"Participation of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili in the event will be known after the delegation to be staffed," Kalandadze added.

"We did not get invitation personally addressed to Saakashvili, but an official note of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry indicated a high-ranking Georgian delegation is expected to attend the inauguration," Kalandadze.
