Abbas Mustafayev's case sent to the court

Investigations on criminal cases of Independent Azerbaijan University president Abbas Mustafayev, accountant Esmira Eyvazova and Treasurer Shirin Asgerova accused under Articles 213.4 (tax evasion) and 308.1 (abuse of power) was over and was sent to the Binegedi district court, Republic Procurator's Office information service chief Vuqar Aliyev told.

The trial will be presided over by Ahmed Sariyev, Binegedi district court told APA.

The trial will continue with the witness evidences. The court officer did not confirm the information about Abbas Mustafayev’s escape from the country, noting that the accused will participate in the procedure.

"His escape is impossible according to the preventive punishment," he noted.
