Facts about mass hepatitis in Hajalli village schools investigated

The officers of Tovuz Hygiene and Epidemiology Center investigated the fact of mass acute viral hepatitis in village schools of Tovuz region, the director of Hygiene and Epidemiology Center Arife Agayeva told.

The investigation proved that a part of pupils considered to catch hepatitis were suffering from chill.

She said that only a part of pupils infected with hepatitis and necessary measures are taken to prevent the spread of the virus.

It should be noted that mass hepatitis virus was reported in early December. The director of school Khadije Gurbanova said that four of them are VIII-IX form pupils, others are junior form pupils. She also added that those classes have been disinfected to prevent the spread of infection. Besides, 546 pupils were inoculated against the virus.

Arife Agayeva said that there is no reason to panic, some of those pupils caught cold, APA reports.

She stated that this virus has degraded in comparison pass years. She said that 22 facts were noted last year, but this number is 17 this year.
