Agriculture Minister: "No bird flu virus in Azerbaijan"

"There is no bird flu virus in Azerbaijan," Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Ismet Abbasov told journalists.

The minister said that the resident of the village Dayikend of Salyan region was taken to hospital with high temperature and examined there.

"After the examination the officers of the State Veterinary Service under Agriculture Ministry and Health Ministry laboratory came to the conclusion that the boy has no bird flu virus. Later, Veterinary Service and Health Ministry made statement that there is no bird flu virus in Azerbaijan," he said, APA reports.
