Pardon decree expected in March

The next meeting of the Working Group composed of representatives of government and NGO leaders will be held in late February or early March.

Member of the Working Group, human rights defender Chingiz Ganizade told the APA the issue on pardon will be discussed at the meeting.

The rights defender noted that the head of state is expected to issue a pardon decree.

"The Working Group should hold a meeting before the pardon decree is issued. The issue on pardoning of sick prisoners will also be discussed at the meeting," he said.
