St. Maria Catholic Church to open in April

Vatican's nuncio to Azerbaijan Claudio Gugerotti and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vatican Elchin Amirbeyov are negotiating on participation of Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone, state secretary of Vatican in the ceremony. But the schedule of the state secretary allows him to visit Azerbaijan only in July or in September, APA reports.

"That is why the official opening ceremony of the church will be held when he visits Azerbaijan. Nuncio and the chiefs of three religious conventions are expected to attend the unofficial opening ceremony," he said.
