Witnesses give testimony in Ali Insanov's trial

Today trial on case of former Health Minister Ali Insanov and ten more defendants accused of embezzlement, abuse of power and bribery continued at Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes.

The sitting is presided over by Judge Faig Gasimov.

The trial has begun with the testimonies of the witnesses.

Head physician of Baku Clinics #1 Penah Aliyev gave information about the privatization of some establishments under Health Ministry. According to him the garage, situated in the yard of the clinics, was emptied on the instruction of department chief of the ministry Vakil Abbasov.
 
Then Ali Insanov's lawyer Agaveys Shahverdi solicited to the court and asked to interrogate former Economic Development Minister Farhad Aliyev, the chief of State Committee on Management of State Property Karam Hasanov and Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev. He also asked the experts to testify after the experts' judgment announced. The court dismissed the solicitation.
 
The trial will be continued in the second half of the day, APA reports.
