Lawyers solicit in Ali Insanov's trial

Today trial on case of former Health Minister Ali Insanov and ten more defendants accused of embezzlement, abuse of power and bribery continued at Azerbaijan’s Court of Grave Crimes.

The sitting is presided over by Judge Faig Gasimov, APA reports.

Ali Insanov again solicited and wanted Farhad Aliyev, former Economic Development Minister, Kerem Hasanov, Chief of the State Committee on Managing Public Property and inspectors investigated the criminal case to give testimonies, submitting preliminary protocols to the court.

The solicitation was dismissed.

The judge Gasimov said that they sent a letter to the leadership of detention place of National Security Ministry according to Ali Insanov's solicitation concerning his meeting with his lawyer. He said the leadership of the detention place will determine whether to allow meeting.

Following this, Isakhan Ashurov, the lawyer to former chief of international affairs department Alexander Umnyashkin solicited for commuting the court's decision about him, submitting protocols on interrogation to the court and the head of the investigation group, Eldar Ahmadov's giving testimony.

The court dismissed the solicitation. Lawyer Ilhame Hasanova left the trial without permission and the trial was postponed.

The trial will continue in the second half of the day.
