VI Eurasian Media Forum ended its work In Almaty on last Saturday.

"When we created the idea of the forum in 2001, we thought we would raise journalism problems, but it is not right to concentrate only on mass media problems," said closing the forum EAMF organizational committee chairman Dariga Nazarbayeva. "Politics and journalism are very much tightened with each other. Our professional responsibility is very big," she stressed.

Forum lasted 3 days. During these days its participants have discussed such actual questions as Middle East questions; Iran and Northern Korea nuclear policies and these countries relations with international community; CIS countries mass media democratization; energy security and pipeline policy of Eurasian countries: youth culture influence on mass media development, etc.

"Themes of media forum are given by our life," Nazarbayeva noticed. "Iraq, Afghanistan, nuclear potential - are on agenda of international policy. Today we have a feeling that emotions calmed down, instead of being emotional we try to analyze and find a way out of the situation," she said.

More than 600 delegates out of 50 countries joined the forum. These are famous politicians and journalists from Kazakhstan, Russia, the UK, US, Israel, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Germany, France, Azerbaijan, etc. Kazakhstan Today
