Lifer Dayanat Karimov stops hunger strike

Today Dayanat Karimov accused of the murder of former vice-speaker of parliament Afiyyadin Jalilov stopped hunger strike that he began in Gobustan prison demanding to commute his punishment to 15-year-imprisonment, the chief of the prison, colonel Alizada Huseynov stated.

"Earlier he requested me with application to stop hunger strike."

Today in the morning prisoner's relatives told Dayanat Karimov went on hunger strike as other prisoners since April 16 and is still kept on striking.

Deputy Justice Minister, Penitentiary Service's chief Nazim Alakbarov told the prisoners stopped hunger strike and enjoyed meal denying the fact of lasting hunger strike.

The hunger strike began on April 16 and lasted several days with about 40 prisoners, APA reports.
