Elchin Behbudov to demand punishing police officers for torturing detainees

Elchin Behbudov, chairman of the Committee against Torture will demand the punishment of three police officers accused of three torture cases against detainees.

The Committee told APA though the names of police officers are known, the police department where they work is not publicized according to rules.

Elchin Behbudov monitored detention places of police stations of Nasimi, Binagadi, Narimanov, Yasamal districts and isolator of Interior Ministry Department to fight organized crimes. The monitoring revealed three torture cases. Elchin Behbudov already informed Interior Ministry Ramil Usubov of the cases.
