Russia's new migration policy created no problems for Azerbaijanis in Nijni Novgorod

Nijni Novgorod leadership is pleased by the activity of Azerbaijanis of this city, counsellor of Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia Bakish Zeynalov told journalists during the event of Azerbaijan Diaspora in Nijni Novgorod.

Zeynalov said he had a very interesting and sincere talk with the vise-governor of Nijni Novgorod Sergei Potapov.

Sergei Potapov said he is pleased with Nijni Novgorod??™' Azerbaijanis who are actively involved in the development of city's health, education and business sectors. Bakish Zeynalov touching the tensions created by the new migration policy in Russia emphasized Nijni Novgorod leadership is for Azerbaijanis??™ staying and settling in the city.

"Azerbaijanis do not suffer from any problem here and the new migration policy does not influence them. Neither law-enforcement authorities nor administrative bodies have problems with our nation's representatives," he said.

Commenting on the incident happened with Azerbaijanis recently in Balakhna city, diplomat said that after a meeting between the city administration and Azerbaijan Diaspora representatives the problems found their solution.

"Those events had some criminal grounds. But it happened as result of misunderstanding. But there is no such disturbing problem in the city now."

Zeynalov added Azerbaijan embassy established relations with Russian emigration service and there is a hot line operating between us.

"We receive information daily and if there is right offense case related Azerbaijanis, the Embassy reacts properly and in time to solve the problem," the counsellor said, APA reports.
