Border-guards work more than usual, as the number of foreign nationals attempting to illegally cross the borders is about to increase, State Border Service (SBS) chief Elchin Guliyev told journalists.
He said the use of modern techniques and equipments help to reveal frauds and other shortcomings in the state border.
"Documents of all foreign nationals are examined and if forgery is found, that person is detained and handed over to corresponding bodies," he said.
The chief of SBS commenting on the rise of attempts to illegally crossing from Iran to Azerbaijan said that trespassers attempt to cross to Azerbaijan in border check points and in the borders.
"But we try to prevent such cases. We are concerned about illegal migration, attempts to drug smuggling. We are taking strong actions about that," he said, APA reports.
