Turkmen poetry published in Azeri language

The National Institute of Manuscripts of Turkmenistan has presented a poetry book by Magtymguly translated for the first time into Azeri. The research work "Creative world of Magtymguly" has been also presented.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan, Elhan Guseinov, emphasized the importance of the translation of the poetry book into Azeri.

According to him, the literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi will not only serve the establishment of close scientific contacts but also rapprochement of two friendly peoples who share the centuries old historical and cultural roots.

The translation of Fragi's poems into Azeri has been carried out by Firuz Ahmedov, candidate of philosophy, associate professor of the Baku University, who carried out a research work on the poet's works called "Creative world of Magtymguly". The copies of both works will be presented to Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov at her request. Some dozen copies of these collections will be also sent to the Turkmen libraries.
