Azerbaijani President visits Tovuz and Ganja

President Ilham Aliyev visited Tovuz region in the second half of the day within his visit to western region.

The Head of State first attended the opening of Olympic Sport Complex, APA reports.

He was told that the complex will be commissioned next year. Head of Tovuz Executive office Tofig Zeynalov spoke about the reconstruction in the region and asked the president to give instructions for opening Medical Center in the region. The President gave a positive response. “People of Tovuz showed courage in Karabakh war,” he said.
The President said Azerbaijan has become a leader for its economic growth.

"The state budget reached $ 7.4bn. Average salary is $ 200, average pension is AZN58 and it will increase," he said.

President Aliyev noted that Azerbaijani government is supported by the people.

Following this, the head of state visited Heydar Aliyev park, met with the region residents and concerned himself with the construction of school. Ilham Aliyev ended his visit to Tovuz with this.

The President left Tovuz for Ganja. He visited central square of Ganja and Heydar Aliyev museum. He concerned himself with the construction of old Ganja gates. Head of Ganja executive office Eldar Azizov informed the President about the construction.

After concerning himself with the reconstruction of a secondary school named after Jafar Jabbarli, the President ended his visit to western region.
