Five activists for rights of Iranian Azerbaijanis go on trial in Tebriz

The due information has been provided by Sadig Isabeyli, chairman of the Center of Researches and Information of the Independence Party of South Azerbaijan.

He said these are Tahir Makhdavi, Yusif Lutfi Haqq, Khosrov Dirakhshi, Magomedali Djavadi and Mehti Afsari.

They are accused of propaganda against Iranian powers, dissemination of separatist ideas of the territorial integrity of the country, creation of the Society of Turks of South Azerbaijan and membership in the Independence Party of South Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the aforementioned people were arrested last year and released after paying $40,000 each.
