Officials of the Ministry of National Security and the State Frontier Service carried out a successful operation which resulted in the confiscation of 77 kilograms of drugs intended for sale in Azerbaijan.
The due information was provided by the press service for the Ministry of National Security.
Thus on January 14 of 2008, the residents of the Lenkoran region of Azerbaijan Faik Kazimov (born in 1966), Ibadulla Kazimov (1949), Asker Dadashov (1970), as well as a citizen of Iran -Behbud Abbasput (1969) conspiring with other people, transported over 77 kilograms of drugs via the Caspian Sea.
During the operative measures, it became clear that on January 14 Faik Kazimov and Ibadulla Kazimov met with Behbud Abbaspur in Baku and define the exact date of transportation and the price of each kilogram of drugs.
At 11:30 p.m on January 13, the Iranian citizen (who came by boat) met with Asker Dadashov and Faik Gasymov on the seashore in Lenkoran and delivered 3 packages with drugs to them.
A.Dadashov and F.Gasymov put the packages to car VAZ-2101 and went to the Vyaravul village to hide the drugs in a back room, belonging to Asker Dadashov.
The said people were detained during operation, carried out on January 15 of 2008. About 3 kilograms of heroine, 9.3 kilograms of opiate and over 65.3 kilograms of hashish were revealed in Dadashov's house.
A criminal proceeding on the case has been instituted under articles 206.3.2., 234.4.1., 234.4.3. The investigation is going on.
