Tarana Mamedova: "The International Red Cross did not want to take our letter stating that Samir Mamedov refuses to receive letters from relatives"

Parents of Azerbaijani soldier Samir Mamedov, captured by Armenians, presented a new letter to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The due information has been provided by S.Mamedov's mother Tarana Mamedova.

She said the letter was sent in the evening after she heard about the repatriation of the Armenian war prisoner to Armenia.

"The International Red Cross did not want to take our letter stating that Samir Mamedov refuses to receive letters from relatives", she noted.

It should be reminded that S.Mamedov's parents came to Baku on January 24.

They visited the International Committee of the Red Cross and Ombudsman's office and met with Shain Sailov, secretary of the State Commission for war prisoners, missing people and captives, Milli Medjlis deputy Zahid Orudjev, Esmira Orudjeva, chairman of Hasret Yolu, Public Association for captives and hostages.
