Death rate going up among children of Lenkoran, Azerbaijan

20% rise in death rate was observed among children in Lenkoran.


Day.Az reports with reference to the Statistical Department of Lenkoram that 35 children died in the region not reaching the age of 1. This is a 20% rise as compared to 2006 when 29 cases were observed.

In other words, death rate among children made up 9.5 per 1000 people while in 2006 the indicator was 7.9.
