Azerbaijan's National Security Ministry and police carry out special operation in Balaken

The National Security Ministry and Balaken region police office carried out special operation in the region, deputy chief of Balaken region police office Logman Ismayilov told APA.

The houses of the persons suspected of being members of radical religious groups in the region were searched.

313 banned religious books and 12 video cassettes were found and confiscated in the house of Shanbul village resident Mahama Chikhinov, 55.

Besides, the house of Khalatala village resident, Idris Chitiyev, 43, was also searched and 107 banned religious books and 1 video cassette were confiscated.

Balaken region police office and National Security Ministry’s regional department are investigating the fact.
