Rights of female-lawyers violated everywhere in Azerbaijan

The social association of enlightenment in the sphere of human rights has implemented the projects "Female lawyers in Azerbaijan".

According to Novosti-Azerbaijan, the project aims to study conditions of work of female lawyers and development of the final conclusion.

Chairman of the association Irada Javadova told on Monday that they became to a conclusion that women's rights are violated everywhere in country's law-enforcement bodies. Cases of sexual harrassment have also been recorded.

"Women do not report the cases fearing to loss job. Female lawyers also face difficulties in getting legal maternity leave. On the other hand, the lack of female lawyers in the regions hinder protection of women's rights", the chairman said.

According to Javadova, when women are placed in jobs in provincial law-enforcement bodies, they are not allocated sufficient number of jobs.

"A report on the situation with women's rights protection in Azerbaijan's law enforcement bodies has been worked out by results of a monitoring held by our association", the press release of the association says.

The report reflects statistical data on the number of women, working in different law-enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan.
