Squadron to support police in international peacekeeping operations established under Azerbaijan's internal troops

The due announcement was made by Internal Troops commander Zakir Gasanov.

He noted that it was planned to create the squadron in 2008 in line with the International Partnership Actions Plans signed with NATO, but all works were completed in 2007.

"Last year the squadron was presented to NATO specialists. The delegation of experts, which included representatives of police of various countries, highly assessed the squadron's readiness", he announced.

It is planned that the creation of a platoon to support police in peacekeeping operations will complete in the internal troops until 2010.
