Azerbaijani ombudsman asks the Red Cross to assist in releasing Azerbaijani soldier captured by Armenians

The due announcement was made by the press service for the Ombudsman's office.

The appeal says that on March 9 of 2008 Azerbaijani army soldier Y.Mukhtarov was captured by Armenians in Tovuz and has not been released.

"Capturing of Azerbaijani soldiers and civilians by Armenians arises serious concern among the population", the appeal says.

It reflects the request to control the state of health of the Azerbaijani serviceman.
