African swine fever virus liquidated in Azerbaijan

The State Veterinary Service under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture made a decision to lift the quarantine, declared in Nij village of Qabala due to the African fever spread in Azerbaijan.

The due announcement was made by spokesman for the State Veterinary Service under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture Yolchu Khanveli.

He said to prevent the spreading of virus quarantine was declared in Nij village.

"The quarantine is lifted as the virus was removed in Azerbaijan. 4832 swines were killed so far", Khanveli noted.

It should be noted that African fever virus was revealed in Azerbaijan on January 28.
