SOCAR to develop Oil Museum project

Day.Az reports with reference to SOCAR that an international tender has been declared for the purpose. As is reported the museum of oil will locate in the territory of Bibi-Eybat oil refinery and will cover an area of 45 hectares.

The museum will consist of two sections-closed and open ones. The private one will include museum building  (exposition gallery, animation cinemas, working rooms, children's museum and intellectual club, cafe, souvenir shop, plenary hall, scientific and practical center, library, centralized archive of SOCAR, administrative building, guest house, internal infrastructure).

The open area will have an area of parks, consisting f 7 parks, each of which will reflect the period of history connected with oil production, as well as another park and a car park. SOCAR reports that the Oil Museum will be built with respect of new technologies.
