Ganja Russian community deputy chairman killed - UPDATED

A criminal case under article 120.1 (deliberate murder) was instituted in the Ganja city prosecutor's office due to the murder of Nazarli Nadejda, chairman of the commission of the Azerbaijani Russian community Ganja brunch.

Assistant prosecutor of the Ganja city prosecutor's office Ibrahim Hasanov told APA that the motives of murder have not been clarified yet, however, Nazarli is supposed to be killed in a bean counter or for revenge.

Hasanov noted that numerous knife wounds were found on the body. Assistant prosecutor announced that investigation has been initiated on the case, with expertise being carried out.

Vesti reports with reference to Interfax that according to Ganja's deputy prosecutor Kamil Yunusov 68-year-old Nadejda Nazarli was found dead in her house in Ganja on Wednesday morning.

"The expertize revealed knife wounds on the body of the deceased and disorder in the house. By preliminary version, the crime was committed for the purpose of robbery", said he.

Yunusov also added that the deceased, whose only son lives in Moscow, lived alone and rented a part of the house to three people.

Chairman of the Ganja department of the Russian community Valery Kozin told APA that the unknowns knifed Nazarli in the neck area. He said no facts of robbery were observed in the house.

Criminal case has been instituted in the case and the investigation group is on the spot of incident.

According to Day.Az, her body was revealed in her house at 6 Hesenli Qardashli this morning.

As is reported by a source from the city prosecutor's office of Ganja, traces of violence were found on the body. It should be noted that 68-year-old Nadejda Nazerli, who lived alone, was knifed.

Investigation has been initiated on the case.
